Okay...school started. August 19 came so quickly, I almost fell over in shock when I realized that I'm going back to school. Maike, the girl from Germany who is living with me and coming to school with me for a year, arrived and I had always been looking at that as something very far in the future. Now, it's here. And now, I'm a junior in highschool and four months minus a day from turning seventeen. Ahhhh! I don't even feel sixteen. I don't even feel like a highschooler! Time just flies, that's for sure. Anyway, school this year is certainly interesting. I am taking French, AP World History, Advanced Algebra/Triginometry Honors, Physics, Chemistry and AP Biology. AHhh! I have only two non honors or AP classes, and those are Chemistry and Physics, which aren't easy classes. But let me tell you....they are sooooo much fun! I LOVE science, in case you couldn't tell already. They are VERY difficult, but fun classes. When I walked into AP bio, my teacher explained to us how this was a college course, and she was going to treat us as college students. We are to expect seven to ten hours of homework a week (In this class alone!) and should we ever be tardy on the day we start a test, we must accept a plain flat zero in return for our tardiness. Ahhhh! I can't be tardy for that class, that's for sure. It's really very fun, though. If I work my butt off and learn all the stuff I'm supposed to learn, I should really benefit from the class. I do want to enter the science field, so any science class I learn a lot in will contribute. I'm thinking if I really work, I can get A's in all the science classes I'm taking. And A's in the other ones, too, at that. Wouldn't that be a nice thing to add to my transcript? A junior year with above a 4.5 grade-point-average? Ahhh, nice. See if I can pull it off for two semesters, too, with Maike here and me working. Oh yeah! I forgot to mention...I got a job. I babysit a two-year-old fifteen hours a week for eight dollars an hour. Not bad. It's kind of stressful for the homework schedule, but I'm learning to manage my time. And babysitting is always fun. For sure. Joey, the boy I babysit, is absolutely adoreable. Anyway, I gotta let my mom on. Time to put in another blog entry...I've been lazy with this lately. Talk to you all soon, and take care!
