So, anyone ever played broomball? Well, if you haven't--you should try it! It's one of those activities to include in a checklist of "to do before I get too old to do such things." Or, on a more morbid note, "to do before I die."

I played with my Theta sisters...and it was a blast! When our chapter president announced we were going to play broomball for our sisterhood event, I had no idea what broomball was. And honestly, whatever decription anyone gives you will NOT give it justice.

Part of what makes it so fun is that EVERYONE sucks. Well, we had some people that were surprisingly good...girls we thought weren't into sports at all. But you can't run really fast or you'll fall...it's on ice. Well, maybe I should say what it is before I talk about how awesome it is.

Broomball is played on ice, NOT with skates, but with just your shoes. You run around on the ice and kind of play hockey, but use a ball and these broomlike sticks that are really just long sticks with a big square of plastic at the end, and yeah...most people probably know what broomball is. I'm just writing this because I didn't know.

Anyway, yeah...you can't run fast. You fall every couple minutes or so, and if you're me, you have to swing six times at the ball before you actually hit it, and when you do, it isn't exactly aimed.

But we won! There were two colors of sticks, and my team had the blue sticks. One of the girls, Katie, had the hilarious idea to call our team "Blue balls." So our team name was Blue balls. Yay Blue Balls!

And yeah...play broom ball before you die! It's worth it!
