Classes have started, and I must say, I'm not a big fan of the lecture thing. To be honest, the kids in the eighty-hundredth row picking their noses are a lot more entertaining than ramble mumbo jumbo about whatever topic the professor's currently on.

I try to listen--I promise.

And I've done all my reading so far. I really feel like that's where I learn something. I suppose that's the way that college is. At least these lecture courses. The teachers basically guide you through self-teaching. Once you get up to the more difficult courses specified for your major, the class sizes get smaller, and the teaching is more likely than not a little more personal and therefore beneficial. In the meantime, lecture time is naptime and reading time is learning time.

Oh! And I'm going ice-sculpting today! Or ice destroying, considering that it's me.

WHOA

Sooooo many people here! I mean...so many that you meet fifty thousand people a day and then you never see them again cuz even fifty thousand people get lost among the massive mobs and crowds of CSU.

And yes, the riots. I've heard that those have been in the news all over the place. Considering that I don't get a newspaper in my dorm, I dont' know that first-hand, but...I'm going to take everyone's word for it.

I need to go. It's late! I need to get back to Corbett. And I'm in the library. Long walk. Probably half a mile...maybe I'm exaggerating.

Peace!
